There’s no intentional optical illusion in this painting, it’s just two heads on a chess table. In some way, however, it ends up being an optical illusion, if we take it by the concept of “visually deceiving”, because this painting deceives visually by making the observer feel deceived when there’s no deceiving at all =P.
